A fun & free way to see high school soccer!
Every fall, many high school teams look for help in the form of ball boys and ball girls ... collecting out-of-bound balls to keep things moving during the game. Most HS's will:
- provide free admission for the player
- provide a complimentary treat from the concession stand at halftime
- announce the players' names over the stadium public address system
- some schools have small sided game or shots on goal at halftime
It's a lot of fun! Plus it's a great opportunity for younger players to see soccer played at that level - and up close. It can be a great team function too ... something a little different during the fall outdoor season.
If you have an interest, please talk to your coach about some or all of your team participating. A group of 4-6 players is typical. If you are unable to get enough players from your own team, then by all means be creative and gather some other soccer friends.
If your son/daughter is U5 or younger, please be sure to disclose that to the high school coordinator. There may be a minimum age to participate.
Good luck to ALL local players playing for their high school soccer team!
